A Session with Jasmin Johnson

NO DOUBT!

September 1998

I had heard quite a lot about Jasmin Johnson for the past few months.   She wrestles primarily out of Northern California, with some treks to  Los Angeles on occasion.  Robin (Physical Culture) Parker sent me  a notice that Jasmin would be making her first NYC tour (with Tami  Frazer), and I initially ruled out a session with her. Jasmin stands 5'8"  and weighs in the 190 - 210 lb. range.  I have enough trouble with  smaller ladies like Raquel and Gemini, and since I prefer competitive  matches, I didn't want to waste my money on some one-sided encounter.

But two AOLers whose opinions I respect urged me to meet her. She has been training for an upcoming competition, and weighed around 180 lbs. I decided to meet her, albeit with some reservations and apprehension.

I can summarize the session by saying it was one of the most dazzling performances I've experienced on the mat - with skill, power, muscularity, beauty, personality and a vivid imagination - the likes of which was all the more impressive for someone on her first national tour.

She wore a one-piece workout outfit, but can wear anything you would prefer, including some unbelievable Daisy Dukes that have to be seen to be believed!  She clearly showed the muscularity that she needs in order to do well in competition, and she said she is on track for her training.  Her biceps were a glorious 17",  her thighs at 26 1/2 ", and her feminity shone through every inch  of her body.  With a very diverse multi-cultural background, she can be described as a dark-skinned Robin Givens in a very positive way.  She is also quite the conversationalist, and wants to do a lot more touring now that she's just starting out.

Looking at her, I knew I wouldn't have much of a chance, so I wondered if I made a mistake by taking on such an amazon.   When I had changed into my gear, she grabbed my hand and effortlessly lifted me over her head, carrying me to the wrestling  room, and scooped me down to the mat.  She started doing some posing, and her muscularity would be rivaled only by  Th-resa Bostick's.  We then started the match on our knees, and I felt like a truck hit me - she was virtually un-movable,  and quickly gained an advantage by trapping me in a headlock  and rolled me under her perfect body.

The next few falls were more of the same, with a very strong body scissors, one or two head scissors, and a variety of other moves to tie me up, while I had absolutely no chance of getting any kind of offense together.  She would break into flexing every now and then, and with Jasmin, this tactic is strictly dazzling.

Between falls, she wanted to do some strength demonstrations, and at one point told me to sit on her shoulders (I weigh 155) and she proceeded to do about a dozen lifts without missing a beat or raising a sweat.  She proceeded for the rest of the session to show me her entire repertoire - poses, wrestling, domination, dancing, anything you can imagine within reason.   Near the end of the session, I was exhausted, and she offered to give me a massage - the work she did on the neck, shoulders  and upper back made me feel like new, and all the while her  conversation continued at a brisk, interesting and enlightened  pace.

There aren't many women who I can say, without hesitation or qualification, are worth spending money on a session with.   Jasmin Johnson is that rarity - a roller coaster hour of excitement and fun - a very unique blend of drop dead gorgeous muscularity on the cover of one of the most fascinating ladies in the sport today.

Before you meet her, may I recommend that you read an outstanding article about her written by Mr. Art  Daudelin called "Jasmin is also a flower".   You can find it at:  http://www.physicalculture.com/JJarticle.htm.
